India Habitat Centre is located on the posh area, Lodhi Road, Corner Plot area and houses many business houses like SIAM, CSE, etc. There are food courts as well as a good auditorium with a sitting arrangement for more than 750 people for cultural as well as other programs. The access to the IHC is from all 4 sides and good parking space exist on the basement.
1. Comfortable with very good food
Good place to have a conversation. Was meeting an old friend here after a long time, very peaceful and well maintained. Food Court is good.
2. Vibrant art gallery
IHC is like an Oasis where you get everything. Art, Culture, Cinema and Great food. Habitat Film Club shows really Nice movies every week. An Awesome place to visit alone or with Friends. A place that gives everyone something to enjoy and learn A stunning and vibrant art gallery. Good place for art lovers. Well managed.
3. Good place for conferences
Convenient place especially if you're attending a conference at the IHC convention center with clean and decent rooms. Apart from the auditorium, there are other attractions here as well. There is space for kids and people who are interested in cultural events. Overall, a good place and worth the money spent.
4. Well maintained Habitat Library
This is a wonderful place for a cultural person. The library is very well maintained. Membership is required for entry. The variety of books, magazines, journals and newspapers present in the library is enormous and covers topics based on cultures, architecture, science, interior decoration, autobiographies, finance, business and more.
5. Brilliant architecture and ambience.
Amazing Architecture by Architects Mr.Stein Doshi & Bhalla's. With its unique architecture and excellent infrastructure, IHC stands apart from other Delhi's Govt. maintained properties. It hosts multi-disciplinary items like conferences, meetings, marriage parties, art gallery, food courts offices, libraries so and so forth.
6. Urban Design complex
This is very rare hotel in an Urban Design complex with galleries, open and closed courts, gardens, Teri offices, some NGOs and a roof terrace with a solar system. What Joseph Stein designed in 1994 is still fully operative and beautiful. Hotel rooms are ok. Three restaurants are ready for different tastes.
7. Location is perfect
The best feature of this hotel is its location: near several parks and close to many attractions (including Khan Market). Prices were reasonable. The rooms were modestly furnished but comfortable.
8. Old world charm
Some great eating places particularly the American Diner had options for wonderful breaker and dinners do very attentive front desk and great concierge. The food is awesome. Courteous staff and service is excellent.
