Best Places Around Delhi for 2-Day Trip

This one is for the people of or from around Delhi who want to make the good use of this temperature and explore some new and exciting places. Check out this list of some offbeat places to visit near Delhi and plan your weekend in a great way!  

1. Lansdowne

trip1 Lansdowne is a stunning place with mesmerizing landscape. This is one of the quietest and well-maintained hill stations in Uttarakhand. The best thing about Lansdowne is that it is insanely close to Delhi. It is not more than a 5-hour drive from the capital. You can have fun in the Old Colonial Bungalows, beautiful sunrise and sunset points. In addition, you can enjoy the rare view of Himalayas and the River Ganga. You can engage in many fun activities like trekking or go visit St. Mary’s Church and the Old War Memorial.  

2. Auli

trip2 Auli is truly a heavenly place. After Gulmarg, Auli is the second most famous skiing destination in the Indian Sub-continent. In winters Auli becomes a place of buzzing skiers eager to put on their gear and ski their way to happiness. You can drive down to this place and reach here in just 7-8 hours. If you are skiing buff, this is a place you should visit in winters.  

3. Pushkar

trip3   Pushkar is a city of many charms. Just 7 hours drive away from Delhi on National Highway 8; Pushkar is a very special city to visit on a weekend in winters. It is full of colors and greenery post monsoon. Pushkar fair which is a sort of cultural extravaganza for the folks of the desert is to be held this year in the first week of November and this would be the best time to visit Pushkar.  

4. Mandawa

trip4 Mandawa is famous for its giant Mandawa Fort and its numerous havelis which dot the medieval landscape of this sleepy town in Rajasthan. It is just 271 Km away from Delhi and offers a perfect recluse for the citizens of Delhi. Some of the havelis are now converted into beautiful hotels offering a glimpse into the Shekhawati life.  

5. Naukuchiatal

trip5 A place, which seems to appear out of poems, Naukuchiatal is a famous lake in Nainital having nine corners. This beautiful place famously known as the ‘lake of nine corners’ is situated in a heavenly surrounding with verdant hills all around. You can trek to the villages around or just relax near the shore while reading your favourite book.
