Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced is solely conducted for the purpose of admission in 23 Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) organised by any of the IITs by round robin rotation pattern. It is recognized as one of the toughest exam in the world. After having cleared JEE Mains top 2,20,000 ranked candidates give JEE Advance. Almost all the IITs are planning to conduct these exams in foreign countries in order to give foreign students a chance to study in IIT. The syllabus of JEE Advance consist of physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as core subjects, syllabus of which is mentioned below.

Chemistry Syllabus

Inorganic Chemistry - Isolation/preparation and properties of the non-metals, preparation and properties of compounds, transition elements (3d series), ores and minerals, extractive metallurgy, and principles of qualitative analysis.

Organic Chemistry - Practical organic chemistry, properties and uses of some important polymers, carbohydrates, amino acids and peptides, preparation, properties and reactions of alkenes and alkynes, characteristic reactions of benzene and phenols and preparation, practice and reactions of alkanes.

Physical Chemistry - Topics under nuclear and surface chemistry, solid state, chemical kinetics, electrochemistry, chemical equilibrium, energetics, atomic structure and chemical bonding and gaseous and liquid state.

Mathematics Syllabus

All the topics under Algebra, trigonometry, analytical geometry, differential calculus, integral calculus and vectors should be covered.

Physics Syllabus

Modern physics, optics, thermal physics, electricity and magnetism, and mechanics.

Syllabus for Architecture Aptitude Test

For the purpose of admission in Bachelor's in Architecture topics under free hand drawing, geometrical drawing, three-dimensional perception. In imagination and aesthetics, sensitivity and architectural awareness should be covered.
