Summary

Sri Ramaswamy Memorial (SRM) University conducts Sri Ramaswamy Memorial University Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE - UG) to offer admissions to interested candidates in its BTech programmes.

 

SRM University also conducts SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam (SRMJEEE) through which it offers admissions to candidates in programmes like Health Sciences. There are 2 ways to give this exam either through the paper-pencil mode or even as a computer based exam. 

 

SRMJEEE 2017 exam dates have been declared. You are allowed to take a maximum of two retakes if you are not satisfied with the score.  The best of three takes will be considered for admission. SRMJEEE 2017 cutoff score is based on various factors like expected intake per branch, difficulty level of the entrance exam and number of applicants.

Eligibilty Criteria

To give SRMJEE 2017 exam candidates need to fulfill some eligibility criteria. 

 
  • Candidates must be a Resident Indian, Non-Resident Indian (NRI), holder of PIO or OCI card issued by Government of India.

  • NRIs, holders of PIO or OCI card issued by Government of India who have not taken the SRMJEEE (UG) must apply under International student category only.

  • Only the candidate who have completed the age of 17 years as on December 31 of the admission year are eligible for the exam.

Faculty of Engineering and Technology:

All B.Tech programmes : 

For Kattankulathur, Ramapuram and Vadapalani campuses : Students need minimum 60 % aggregate in PCM   

For NCR, Delhi campusStudents need minimum 55 % aggregate in PCM

(i) Candidates must have passed Higher secondary examination (10+2 pattern ) or appearing in Higher Secondary examination in the current academic year with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as major subjects in regular stream from any state board within India, CBSE, ISCE, Matriculation, or NIOS.

(ii) International Baccalaureate (IB) with Diploma, or A-level with Mathematics, Physics and chemistry as major subjects in any International schools within India

B.Tech Biotechnology, B.Tech Biomedical Engineering and B.Tech Genetic Engineering:

 

For Kattankulathur, Ramapuram and Vadapalani campuses : Students need minimum 60 % aggregate in PCM   / PCB

Exam Pattern

SRMJEEE 2017 will have this pattern:

 
  • It will be a two hours thirty minutes duration examination.

  • It will have a total of 105/120(PCM/PCB) questions.

  • It will be in multiple choice objective type format.

 

The question paper for the exam will be divided into three sections. Each section will have questions from different subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology. SRMJEEE exam question paper will have 35 questions each for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics whereas a total of 50 questions will be asked from Biology.

Fee
