Syllabus

Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national-level computer-based management entrance test, conducted by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). CMAT 2017 dates have been declared and two people have scored perfect 100.The exam was held on January 28, 2017. CMAT 2017 registrations closed on December 25, 2016. Earlier, the last date to register for the exam was December 10, 2016 and the same has been extended by 5 days.

The CMAT is a three hour online test which is conducted in a single session to evaluate the candidate’s ability across various segments like Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness. CMAT score is accepted by all AICTE-Approved Institutions/University Departments/Constituent Colleges/Affiliated Colleges. DTE Maharashtra has announced, CMAT as mandatory for student under AI (All India) quota for admissions to Maharashtra colleges. CMAT was earlier held twice in a year – February and September. It will now be held once a year due to various reasons. CMAT exam pattern has five main sections: quant, data interpretation, logical reasoning, verbal ability and general knowledge. CMAT syllabus revolves around Basic Mathematics, Reasoning and Reading Comprehension. In quantitative techniques and data interpretation, the number of questions given are 25 while the marks for them given for it is 100. For logical reasoning, the number of questions alloted are 25 and the marks are 100 as well. Language comprehension and general knowledge cover 100 marks each and 25 questions each.  Students are advised to follow newspapers and stay updated on current affairs to ace the exam as general knowledge is one of the subject in the exam. For static General Knowledge, students can use any good reading material and memorize as much as possible. If the candidate follows the above topics correctly, he/ she can ace the exam.

  • Progressions

  • Logarithms

English
