Management Aptitude Test also known as MAT is a national-level management entrance examination. The test scores are used for admission to various MBA, PGDM and allied management programmes. The exam is conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA). More than 600 B-Schools accept MAT exam scores.

MAT is held four times in a year: February, May, September and December. Students get to know about the exam dates and other schedules generally three months before the exam.

MAT February 2017 Paper Based Test was held on February 5, 2017, and the Computer Based Test was conducted on February 11, 2017.

Eligibilty Criteria

Here’s the eligibility criteria for the MAT Feb 2017 exam:

  • Graduates in any discipline can take the exam.

  • Final year graduation students can also apply.

  • There’s no age limit for MAT exam.

Exam Pattern

MAT exam is held for almost two-and-a-half hours. The test consists of 200 questions which need to be done in 150 minutes. The candidates are tested in the following five areas: Indian and Global Environment, Language Comprehension, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Mathematical Skills, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning. There are 40 questions in each section. Each question carries one mark, whereas, for every wrong answer one/fourth mark is deducted.


Candidates need to pay Rs. 1400 for MAT 2017 application form. Candidates can apply through any one of three following modes:
